Commercial Patio & Exterior Clean
At PowerWash Bros, we recently completed a full commercial exterior and patio cleaning service at Brewery Square in Dorchester. This high-traffic location had accumulated years of dirt, chewing gum, and environmental wear, making it the perfect candidate for a full restoration – just in time for a new wave of investment and tenancy.
The Challenge
The property had not seen a deep clean in several years.
- The patio was stained from constant footfall, grease, and grime.
- Chewing gum was embedded across the paved areas.
- The brickwork façade had darkened over time, losing its visual appeal.
The new investors wanted a fresh, clean appearance to improve curb appeal and set a professional tone for the building’s future.
Our Process
Site Assessment: We carried out a thorough inspection of all surfaces, noting the types of staining and levels of build-up across the patio and exterior walls.
Chewing Gum Removal: We tackled the embedded chewing gum manually, using sharp blades and a good dose of elbow grease to lift off the hardened spots. Once loosened, we followed up with a thorough pressure wash to fully remove any remaining residue and leave the surface clean and gum-free — all without damaging the paving underneath.
Deep Pressure Wash: The full patio was pressure-washed using water only, as requested by the client. Despite avoiding chemical cleaners, our high-powered equipment effectively lifted layers of built-up grime, algae, and surface stains, restoring the area to a clean, refreshed finish.
Brickwork Cleaning: Low-pressure washing and soft washing methods were used to clean the brick without eroding or discolouring the surface.
Final Detail & Rinse: We ensured all runoff was safely drained, edges were detailed, and no debris remained.
The Result
The transformation was clear and immediate. The patio surface was fully restored, looking clean, safe, and inviting. The brickwork regained its original colour and texture, dramatically improving the overall appearance of the building’s exterior. All chewing gum was successfully removed, leaving the area polished and professional. The client was extremely pleased with the results and has since expressed interest in additional services as part of their ongoing site improvement plans.
